\u201cAvatars on earth on a journey into the unknown<\/strong>\u201d by Tom\u00e1s Garc\u00eda Ruiz in the category \u201c<\/span>Impulse in the Student through the Teaching Guide<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u201d: <\/span>\u00a0This category rewards projects that, through effective teaching guidance, have achieved a significant impact on student learning.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

\u201cAfrica.<\/a> <\/span><\/strong>A Thousand Stories<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u201d by teacher Javier Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez Iborra from the Sixth Grade Primary School of the Tafalla Public School (Navarra, Spain). The interdisciplinary project aims to get to know the stories of Africa, learn about its potential from a positive point of view, and actively engage with human rights, the SDGs and climate change. In the category \u201cPupil Empowerment through Teacher Cooperation<\/span><\/a>\u201d, which recognises initiatives that foster collaboration between teachers, institutions and communities, enriching the educational process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Finally, \u201cDiscovering the magic in us<\/strong>\u201d by Elena Vercher, from the category \u201cStudent Empowerment through Technology<\/span>\u201d<\/a>, which highlights projects that integrate technological tools to enhance the learning experience and develop digital competences in students.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Isabel Andrades presented \u201c<\/span>I take care of you, you take care of me<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/strong>\u201d which was awarded the Silver Spinning Top in 2023. This initiative challenged thinking skills in special education, involving students in the conservation of the natural environment. The students reflected, debated and cooperated to decide the focus and actions of the project, promoting inclusive and participatory education.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/div>

The Polytechnic University of Madrid in collaboration with Down Madrid presented the project \u201cLet’s move for energy poverty<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u201d and received the Golden Spinning Top in 2023. This collaboration allowed young people with intellectual disabilities and university students to work together on the development of a good practice guide to save energy in homes. The project not only addressed a relevant social problem, but also promoted inclusion and mutual learning among the participants.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

And in the category of \u2018Student Empowerment through Technology\u2019, the project \u201cIRPA, let them create<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u201d was awarded the Golden Spinning Top in 2023. Led by Susan Rivera, this initiative implemented UDL (Universal Design for Learning) to respond to the personal needs of learners, promoting autonomy and creativity in the use of emerging technologies.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
